Description
Killarney Red is a hard neck, rocambole garlic with an average of 9 cloves per bulb. We don’t know its original source, but some say it is derived from Spanish Roja or German Red varieties. It has a strong flavor that lasts. If you have wet conditions for growing, you might try this rocambole as others don’t seem to do as well in wet ground.
The protective wrapper around the bulb tends to disintegrate over time, so this variety doesn’t store as well as others.
